blackened chicken



2 tbsps of olive oil

1lb of chicken breast filets

2 tbsps of blackening seasoning

cast iron pan


preheat oven to 375. using a cast iron skillet, heat some olive oil over medium-high heat. season the chicken with the blackening seasoning, then sear on the stove for about 3-5 minutes per side, until the chicken is slightly charred. transfer the cast iron to the oven and continue cooking the chicken for about 30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. let the chicken rest for about 5 minutes before cutting/serving.
